When you are asked to serve your country trust and integrity are paramount. You have a duty to disclose any impediment . The burden is on you . One cannot legislate character neither is that to be expected.

@mullings_clive Is it not a shared burden though? You have a duty to disclose and those making the choice have a duty to ensure that the chosen are worthy and can withstand scrutiny?

@blacksunflower The difficulty is whether such information can be discovered without voluntary disclosure or concealed through deceit. At the end of the day the burden must be on the person who would be in possession of the information.
