When the ummah focuses on teaching women about protecting themselves and dressing modestly and doesn't focus on telling men to keep their hands to themselves, the ummah propagates rape culture.

@joke_alabi
The Ummah tell them so cos Allaah informed us so as mentioned in Surah Al Ahzab: 59
One of the ways to help the man is to cover properly. Men understand this that's why they iterate it.

@joke_alabi
Minors that get molested, they didn’t cover properly too? Women that get molested in haram, how more covered can they be? Why do you admonish the woman more, whose body is violated and not the actual person committing a crime? Do you go about molesting people that don’t cover
@ms_hanie
The Ummah already teaches that fornication/adultery is forbidden, surely. As well as enjoining love and respect for wives on husbands.
I think that exculpates the ummah.
Except if it now turns round to shield acknowledged rapists/violators, then we can call such an ummah out.
@ms_hanie
@M0re_nike
But "lower your gaze" is one of the Ummah's focus asking us not to even look much more attempt abusing. May Allah make us upright on the fitra.
@ms_hanie
Louder Haneefah, Louder! And most of you all in the comments are confusing the Quran and Sunnah with the Ummah, now let this sink and read the tweet again.
@ms_hanie
Ah its kuku in trying to be a better Muslim I approached on uncle on here that posts reminders for women to dress modest among other reminders like there's no tomorrow. 2 days later - Send nudes was the text I received🙂
@ms_hanie
No the ummah doesn't propagate rape
The full teaching of Islam is there for us all to follow
No free mixing
Lower your gaze
Don't be in seclusion with the opposite sex
@ms_hanie
@AHarleemarh
Well, it's a good thing that the ummah doesn't do just that, it instructs both men and women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts.

@akorive001
My dear sister kindly assist to share this link, so our sisters can know the real teaching of Islam on Hijab from Quran and Sunnah. Because, we need to ask who is teaching who Islam?
@ms_hanie
And also allows the slaves to be used as wish. Is that not why some Muslims rape their househelps and maids? They even murder them sometimes.
@ms_hanie
@Rahmatullahiii
The shariah is quite clear about rape. Unfortunately, we don't operate shariah law here. Otherwise, no man will go near rape.
@ms_hanie
When the ummah doesn't have in place sharia penal code for raping and sexual promiscuity as ordained by Allah, then the ummah is an all-embracing of rape
@ms_hanie
I totally agree with you. We need to teach both genders, you can’t lay the responsibility solely on the women/girls. In effect, encouraging men/ boys.
@ms_hanie
Most times our message out there should be unambiguous in meaning and understanding, therefore should be devoid of emotion and sentiments.
The Express authority of the Qur'an and Sunnah of the prophet balance what dressing and modesty means for both gender, save if we now....
@ms_hanie
What a big misconception on your part,the Deen and the Ummah constantly propagate lowering of gaze and also to moving closer talklees of touching non maharani
