This is a former Google and Facebook software engineering manager. These are his views on BLM and racism in the US.
At top tech companies, Black people consistently make up less than 3% of engineers.
Why is diversity and Black retention so low? Because these are our managers.

Don’t get me started. I have 2 degrees and make a 6 figure income. This is an oversimplification of the effects of over 400 yrs of racism. He named black entertainers and athletes who are doing well. Where are the scientists? CEOs? Do Japanese companies hire Blacks, or their own?
@moebee2
The only thing that this guy said that is right, is the "fresh start" thing.
Yeah, everyone should have a fresh start. Everyone should have the same opportunities.
But that's not what happens. Black people still suffer from stuff that happened a long ago.

As an Asian American, this guy does not represent me or many other progressive Asians. He’s tone deaf and skewed in his selective history, and doesn’t understand racial justice at all.
@moebee2
TechLead is known for being aggressively cutthroat and scummy against other Youtubers and course-makers. Tons of copyright takedowns, blackmail, doxxing, etc.
I’m not surprised he has such a poor take on the issue. That said, many first generation Asians innocently don’t get it

@KachuSub
No human will ever cure racism. But actually racism is not the true culprit...its classism! Yet its promulgated constantly while ignorance focuses on racism. Point: 1973 I bought a new car for $3600 & my annual salary was $10k. I paid cash. How many 18 yr olds pay cash today?
@moebee2
"My children shouldn't have to be penalized for something my ancestors did" ok but when your children are still benefiting from what they did and when people now are heavily invested in keeping it in place then that doesn't work, a lot of people don't *want* it to start fresh.
@moebee2
I actually watch a lot .... Of his tutorials on YouTube , am not going to be biased based on my likeness for him personally . But YES what he says is true ... I was watching a Kevin Hart(a black American comedian) interview yesterday , on YouTube were he said the problem with 👇
@moebee2
His point is that many in the BLM movement don't seem to be interested in a rational discussion, and that many adopt a victim mindset, blaming others for their situation.
Your tweet lends credence to that assertion: No argument why he's wrong + blaming people like him for X.
@moebee2
"Black people have it pretty good, when you consider... in the NBA it's all black people".
I don't know his story, but perhaps there's correlation with him being a _former_ Google and Facebook manager.
