Yesterday was a good reminder not to get too attached to a job in a corporation. There were folks who were laid off yesterday after working for #Google for 18+ years. That meant they received an email at 5am, and immediately their corp access was cut off and their badges (1/2)

To be clear, I still like and recommend working in the tech sector, and I still find #Google to be a good employer compared to other companies. But it's good to have a more realistic picture of one's relationship with their employer.
