Do something good 100 times. Do something bad once. They will remember you for the bad thing.

@mikerusanoff Think of a goalkeeper in football He can make 10 great saves but people will only remember that one mistake he made that led to the goal

@mikerusanoff Was talking about this yesterday with the fam. And it's interesting really. Regardless of how much good you do, it's almost impossible to outshine the bad.

@mikerusanoff Perfect description of the corporate world. You are only as good as your last day/project/task/assignment etc. Decades of contributions and sacrifices can be forgotten instantly if you manage to screw up something once.

@mikerusanoff I have at least 100 ideas before I have a good one. They can remember me how they want, but I'll remember the good one.

@mikerusanoff That's the mark of ingrates. You only get to know them when your relationship with them doesn't go the way they've always expected.

@mikerusanoff It’s important to highlight that we do the same thing to ourselves! I think the only way to root out this phenomenon is by showing ourselves compassion for the mistakes we make. Then we can view the mistakes others have made with more compassion, too.
