if you weigh the banana in peel and then the peel itself and subtract it from the og grams you’ll get an accurate measurement as long as your banana peel hasn’t been out for hours
if the banana peel isn’t weighed relatively soon after you’ve eaten the banana the water in the peel will evaporate and the peel will not weigh the same, ik it’s unlikely ppl wait until the peel is all gross to weigh it but just in case y’all do
Now for my preferred method of weighing.
Place a bowl or plate on the scale and tare
Put the banana (preferably cut up) in the bowl and use those grams
I like this method bc there’s no room for error
After i’ve weighed the banana i take my grams over to google, but ik a lot of people don’t like doing that so i also suggest doing it the math way if you want it to be more specific (53.32 in this case)
this is a big ass banana and just over 50 cals. you guys are just dramatic unless all the bananas i’ve eaten in my life are somehow 80% lighter than your guys. ty for your time, I rest my case.
I’m gonna tag the people who don’t believe bananas are low cal
(this is so extra but i want banana hate to be resolved bc they don’t deserve it, they’re just as low cal as other fruit)
@microdxse
I needed the reassurance that I’m weighing them correctly without the peel 🫶 I used to be so scared of bananas but after I got a scale I was able to face them so much easier
