Headteachers - and especially of smaller rural schools - are some of the most talented, dedicated, resilient, skilled, competent people you could meet. I'm not sure we say thank you enough. So with both my professional and my parental hat on: thank you. Heroes.

Well said. Small rural school leadership is by far the most complex and undervalued within our current system across the UK. You do an amazing job.

This is so lovely! The whole team of a small rural school is amazing-dedicated professionals who really care about the children, their families and communities. There is something very special about a small school, especially the two I am lucky enough to be headteacher of.
