charged with armed trafficking in Methamphetamine, armed traffic in cocaine, armed possession of a controlled substance, resisting an officer with violence, altering, destroying, concealing or removing records, and possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.

Couple things: what do charges have to do with how an American citizen is treated during an arrest?
What does the eighth amendment mean to you?

Resisting arrest, fighting with the cops. I am merely pointing out there is more to the story than a seat belt. When all the body cams come out we will see everything that went on and the jury will decide the fate of both cops and perp.

I am just posting from a local news article. There is always more to every story. Up to the people who actually live in the town to decide what's what when all the body cams come out.

Of course not. However when someone resist, fight with cops trying to make an arrest, your likely to end up looking like that, and that is choice someone made, all be it a poor one. If the cops beat him for no reason, they should face consequences too.

@Maejor4Congress
Regardless of the charges... This amount of violence seems a bit excessive to me. Especially for his face to look like that? No ma'am. If they needed to rough him up a bit for his actions and resisting, fine. But this? No. Unacceptable. At least they didn't shoot him I guess. 😒

@Maejor4Congress
1. Resisting an officer with violence is always sus as a reason for arrest because cops literally say that if you look at them cross eyed.
2. None of those are reasons to beat somebody up like this. There's a thing called restraint - get some.

@Maejor4Congress
So instead of allowing the court system to serve justice they had to beat him this bad?! Dylan Roof mauled down black ppl in a church and was taken to Burger King right after before they took him to jail. Y’all humor me whenever y’all go that route to justify a cop beating a BM
@mefbama
@Maejor4Congress
Police are not here to be the judge, jury, and executioner, no matter the person may have done. Their job is to apprehend and take in if anything.
Also, many police officers have OPENLY stated that they will say resisting an officer for anything
@mefbama
@Maejor4Congress
The can charge you with whatever they want.
Based on the beating I’d question their decisions & character so I cannot go by charges alone
