It has happened to me twice in 2020, and i saw my earnings at that time drop from 700k/month to just 30,000 naira for that period of ban. Almost died of depression, i thought my world was crumbling. I invested a lot to get all these contacts, where do i start from.

Then i was operating with whatsapp business, and unknown to me, their rules were quite strict. I thought i have been banned from the entire whatsapp ecosystem, So after a few weeks, i downloaded normal whatsapp, logged in, and i experienced one of a kind excitement.

You are literally pouring petrol on your head and screaming "who has a lighter" and guess what, someone will hand you a burning lighter. What in essence am i driving at here.

It's simple really, If you have a business, your worst mistake is to have one supplier for all you do. In your case, relying on one single traffic source is bad. It is not traffic you own so anything can happen (Remember what @russelbrunson thought teaches us)

If you also rely on one communication channel e.g is one limited and closed like whatsapp, you are putting your finances at risk. So what are your options and what should you do? What did i do?

Well, i diversified. I switched to instagram stories, I was not getting as much views, but i was always directing people on whatsapp to go follow me there. Now it's over 11,000 people there. I tried taking to youtube but i was not consistent,

Twitter is also an option, which i have suddenly decided to focus more on beasue it has less graphics to distract me. (By the way i uninstalled my social media apps this morning as it became a detractive element, i left youtube for research) But all these are still at risk.

I don't consider them traffic i fully own. If a lot of you report my account for something controversial, i will be suspended. So what is the ultimate traffic you own.

A SOLID EMAIL LIST. The OG. If you run out of money to keep paying for email list subs, you can literally download your subscriber list and keep them in your device till you are ready

no one ever gets banned via email unless you are a mad man that blasts out spam emails. I have tried Mail chimp, Aweber,Act Camp, get response, and birdsend. Until recently, the naira card, dollar issue payment kiniko kiniko started.

and many people could not find ways to keep paying for their subs, other than to use cut throat usd card rates or have friends with dollar accounts or outside the country pay for them. which is what i have been doing, until my team and i decided to build affisend
