I'm Lynda Marks nurse, Mark is heavily sedated in a critical condition in the ICU after emergency bowel surgery. Found out he signed a DNR form after his heart stopped in the ambulance and again in theatre. Please include him in your prayers he is the nicest man but worst patient

Out foraging for my daily sustenance of a Tesco meal deal I collapsed I can't remember much other than waking up in hospital with a new stoma bag attached. NHS I love you from the cleaners to the surgeons. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Saved my miserable life again.♥️♥️

Mark is out of woods sat up in bed but is very dopey, still attached to machines with a nasal tube. Drs expect he will go onto a ward next week. He may fire me when he finds I have tweted for him. I haven't told him. I check his admin whenever he is unwell. Relieved. Lynda.

The worst kind of vandalism, the plot next to mine has been taken over and the first thing they did was "hack" down a marvelous Plum tree. One of the best on the site. The plums were spectacular, even better than mine, and my plums are legendary. Everyone talks about my plums.🤦‍♂️

In Morrisons earlier on the reduced price shelf were 7 Family Steak and Ale pies reduced to only a pound each, I was going to get one for my supper, I politely let a "lady" go before me and she nabbed all 7! I asked if I could have just one, but she said no. Can't abide greed.

Had a call today from an 11-year-old girl who is in my stoma support group, telling me she got to ring the bell. I'd have loved to have been there to see it. Needless to say, I cried like an 11-year-old girl. The best day ever. I may cry again later. #stuffcancer #buggeroffcancer

Major move forward on my plot, 2 raised beds on stilts filled picture 2. Picture 1 is a fire door on 2 frames that will be a box. All my plot is going to be boxes on legs as my legs mostly now metal were smashed to bits in a motorbike accident and bending is impossible. ☺️

Thank you all the well-wishers. Out of the hospital having had my hernia fixed and some polyps removed from my colon I was disappointed having to have a new stoma bag fitted, but essential. It couldn't be fixed so I have it for life. A 6-hour op. Thank you NHS you are wonderful.

When I first got bowel cancer I only had Mother to tell, she knew more about it than I as Father had died of the same a few years prior. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to tell a young family of cancer. Along with everyone else I wish Kate a speedy recovery. Godspeed.

The first task when arriving at the allotment, feed the locals. The black one is called Boo, I don't know the other one's name or even if she has one, which calls for a song: "I walked across my allotment with a cat with no name, it felt so good because I have a little brain" ☺️

I just got back from a bit of shoplifting and I found this little tinker on my chair he has been Awol for quite a time, no note or goodbyes he is now tucking into a supermarket-ready-roasted chicken. So glad he is home a house is not a home without a cat.

@theJeremyVine I was a cyclist years ago but now in London, I would consider it too dangerous, because of other cyclists! I am on constant alert for cyclists on pavements too. Always thought both cyclists and car drivers should take Motorcycle training. Motorcyclists have far better training.

Christmas greetings to anyone spending the Christmas period on their own, not having any family myself I know how difficult this time can be. I have put off Christmas for many years as my stoma usually spoils any visits I make. My first Christmas dinner for a decade is tomorrow.

A few weeks ago I fixed my neighbours fence I expected no reward obviously but her carer just gave me three portions of curried goat my fave. I am constantly amazed by the kindness of strangers.

Good day at the allotment I made 4 raised beds on stilts (the beds on stilts, not me!) despite my left hand being in bandages, probably won't be able to walk tomorrow but hey ho!

I went to Tesco Express Magical Emporium of Earthly Delights earlier, there were 5 women shoppers all dressed ready for bed, Dressing gowns, japamas and slippers. I don't want to see that, it should not be allowed. Am I a snob?

Another 1st: Cottage pie, beginning, resting, and tucking in. I've yet to work out proper proportions, overdid the mash. I didn't think a TBSP of Soy sauce would make such a pleasant difference. I quite like this cooking malarky.

Well that wasn't the break from Twitter I wanted! Never been overweight but I've lost a lot by giving up booze. So I thought I'd get a bit of definition on my abs, never gonna have a six-pack again. I used to be able to do 200 sit-ups easily, I did 3 and ended up in ICU!
