This is really beautiful work, I would love to work with you some day. It feels a bit old for a middle-grade audience—if you have more character-driven, youth-based examples I'd be eager to see them, Katherine.
@carlydraws
You've been on my radar for a while, Carly. These samples are great and they hit the age group in an interesting way. Thanks for saying hi!
@nicole_rifkin
Ah Nicole, I've been a fan of yours for awhile now. I think your work lands squarely in a YA/Adult audience (in fact, I pitched you a few weeks ago on a different title), so if you have any younger work, I'd love to see it!
Would really like to work with you someday.

Hi, Mallory! I hope you're well. I've illustrated two nonfiction PBs so far that are a bit on the somber side. The first 2 illos are from my latest bio on CS Lewis. The drawings are how I imagined I might illustrate some of the Narnia stories in b+w.

Older work but the most sombre things I ever did was an illustration of Ledra Street in Nicosia, where the border between the Turkish and Greek sides of the island is situated and an illustration of Chernobyl
