a lot of the men hip hop community and men in general don’t like meg because she raps about them the same way they rap/speak about women.

and I don’t know why people are so offended by her being β€œmainstream” now. she had two of the biggest songs in the world this year which obviously elevated her into whole new level in her career so it was bound to happenπŸ₯΄

tbh most men in the hip hop community don’t like/listen to female rappers anyway so tryna get approval from them is kinda pointless. one thing meg learned from nicki tho is building a strong enough fanbase that you’ll be good whether the community supports you or not.

@rashaanmuir @fluffyblkboy No strong opinion, but I think Meg, and other female rappers, have realized the potential in a female audience. A lot of men are used to being catered to as the primary fan base, so when they see that her support mostly comes from women, they think its unsustainable, or fleeting
