January has been a hectic and fairly stressful month for me and will continue to be so until Wed. But now, more than ever, I realise the power of exercise to clear the head and de-stress. It’s the only time I can zone out and stop my brain. Movement is medicine in every sense.

@lucygoss And it doesn’t have to be massive or epic or all-out effort! Things like a faster-than-strolling walk if one can (or a stroll if needed), a short yoga routine, ahem a parkrun - they all can give the brain a break.

@lucygoss It’s remarkable how much more I struggle with my mental illness when I’m not exercising! Sometimes it’s a chicken and egg scenario 😕
