A lot of the Govs we have now probably didn't know that Chief Obafemi Awolowo established Akunu Cattle Ranch in Akoko. It was one of the best in the country such that Secondary Schools Students in Ondo State are allowed to visit on excursion back in the 80s & 90s.

Afe Babalola University is built on the part of the land that was formerly a Government ranch.
Ranching is not new to South West and the Government providing land.
What kind of Governors we get now for SW. Ehn

Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo can conveniently earmark lands for ranching in their state and makes money from it. It will even be in their best interest to monitor, collect ground rent and coordinate activities.

It is just that most of them are lazy. Lagos alone slaughtered 6000 cows per day. This is about N328B a year. This is about the size of Ondo/Ekiti State Budget.
If these Govs wear their thinking cap, it could improve their IGR significantly.
