Suddenly, folks care about the conditions inside the Fulton County Jail. No one cared until a bunch of republians got indicted. They ought to experience jail like everyone else, because they have allowed those conditions to exist.

To be fair, unless you're living in a situation, we mostly only know what is reported or talked about. I don't remember hearing about this until recently. Not everybody hears about everything that is happening in the country.

That's a pretty facile reason though. Having spent half of my career working in prisons, I can say that it's because most folks are all too happy to forget about jails and prisons. That's just sticking their heads in the sand and being in denial because it doesn't affect them.

PERSPECTIVE: Rice Street itself is the least of the problems, especially with the seat of government basically right around the corner pretending like they don't see the problems.

When they get booked and have their photos and fingerprints taken put them right in the bullpen with everybody else give them a taste of that

Probably not. They will more likely expedite their intake and arraignment processes to get them back onto the streets as soon as possible.

I care. It's probably going to be too easy for him. My ex is a retired prison warden. He says they'll put him in a "VIP" location of convicted. In Ohio there is a prison housing unit specifically for former police, politicians, etc. They're not put in the worst gen pop.

Either they'll put them in a special holding area or expedite their processing so that they can get back on the streets as soon as possible. But if you know anyone who has ever worked in a county jail or prison system as you do, you probably know the real deal.
