Some life news:
March was the most difficult month of my professional life and I have been struggling with my mental health since the beginning of the year. Being in a leadership role at 2 startups finally caught up with me, and I had to make some difficult decisions.
Last month I had to finally accept that The Taproom, the agency I started 4.5 years ago, was not doing so great. I had kept it afloat for as long as I could, but I couldn’t take care of the team anymore. Our employees’ last day was 3/31.
Dealing with the toll of seeing your own company in this position, mentally I was at my worst. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating, I wasn’t taking care of myself. Something in my life had to change to put my mental health first and get back on track.
With that, I had one more difficult decision to make.
At the end of this month, I will be departing from
@fromgovalo
to focus on getting my mental health back on track. I am still 100% Team Govalo and I know
@rhiankatie
and the rest of the incredible team will continue to soar.
I didn’t make this decision lightly, but it’s something I had to do.
I can’t thank
@dxnielvaughn
,
@rhiankatie
, the Govalo team, and our investors enough for being so supportive during this time.
I know there are better days ahead. I’ll share what I’m doing next soon. 💜
@kvlly
Kelly, I’m really sorry to hear that. Kudos to you for making the tough choices. Get some rest, take care of yourself, and I can’t wait to see what you do next :)

I'm so happy that I've had the chance to get to know you and work with you, and I'm so sad to see you go. I'm glad you're putting yourself first and taking the time you need to take care of yourself.

@kvlly
Kelly you are a beacon of light. Terribly sorry to hear about this but it takes immense strength to put yourself first and I’m glad you are doing so. Rest up and know the entire community is here to support you always.
