black people can and deserve to be ugly. I am actively against the premium we place on desirable and conventionally attracted people (which is why the conversation is so ridiculous). but we need to be honest about what is going on when we assign ugliness to blackness.

moreover, I don’t mind black people being preferentially ugly. what I want to highlight, however, is the why if y’all preferences and whenever y’all get to explaining it’s never a coincidence that it y’all rationale gets very anti-black i.e., featurist and colorist.

It's not just the fact that *they* personally consider him ugly. They be offended that anybody else considers him attractive. When the person they have been conditioned to believe is the least, gets any positive attention, they feel like MUST right the order of the world 😬
