NO BECAUSE IDK HOW TO FEEL LIKE CRWBY SEEM PRETTY OPTIMISTIC ABOUT V10 GETTING GREENLIT LIKE THEY SAID THEY'RE WORKING ON IT AND ALL BUT THEY'RE ALSO SERIOUSLY TELLING US TO TWEET A HASHTAG????? SO ARE WE DOOMED OR NOT DOOMED
@sapphicarkos
Best case is that they're pretty sure it'll be greenlit but they don't want to risk the higher ups thinking there's no market and so want everyone hyping it up
@sapphicarkos
I mean I think most likely their in budget negociations with WB (and these "partners" they mentioned at the panel) and well showing engagement and interest strengthens their hand in getting a larger budget.
@sapphicarkos
I highly doubt warner Bros would end the series on volume 9. Especially with how popular the series is, it got a 2-part movie and an anime adaptation, and it's gotta get greenlit.
@sapphicarkos
But like, they would be stupid not to greenlight it, right? If we're getting RWBY Chibi and RWBY & JL Part 2, there is clearly a demand for RWBY. Plus RWBY is Rooster Teeth's most popular franchise right now. The story is not over yet. We need RWBY Volume 10!
@sapphicarkos
I mean it would be pretty weird if they just said outright “yeah this hashtag isn’t gonna do much good but share it anyway if you feel like it”
@sapphicarkos
I miss the days when a RWBY volume would end and we wouldn't have to worry about whether or not we were getting more. It sucks that we're essentially having to BEG for more of this thing we love.
@sapphicarkos
I mean, they could have a good case for getting it greenlit, but having a bunch of obvious easily-found demand for it would probably help their case a lot.
@sapphicarkos
It honestly feels like a bad sign if the official staff themselves has to tell their viewerbase to spread the hashtag. Because it means that upper RT/WB management is either apathetic (like with Disney and Owl House) or f'ed (When was the last major RvB news we got?)
