i think it reset him to waht he was before the whole time travel thng but he retained his memories if that makes sense...? he still has that development but he is also back 2 how he was before yea
@sapphicarkos
honestly when you think about it, the only times he was truly not in a groundhog day situation was helping lewis and alyx and then when team rwby came along. everything else he wasn't growing or maturing so i'm interpreting it as a mostly physical aging
@sapphicarkos
He keeps the physical age but also had the memories of his time there which is good cause if they rested to V7-V8 characterisation then that would've just been character regression
@sapphicarkos
Well he didn’t really do much growing mentally in the ever after, he was basically withering away in his guilt and trauma, so I think him doing better at the end of this volume and de-aging to try again and stuff like that, is a better way to look at it
@sapphicarkos
He’s not really 40 inside because Jaune really never truly grew up. He was traumatized, and the age thing was kind of a allegory for how trauma ages you
@sapphicarkos
For me, maturing comes with all the experiences you go through, Jaune never "matured" because all he did in the everafter was wait for team RWBY and keep the PP alive. In my mind he was a 20 y/o in an old body.
