@deepak_shukla13 @Jairam_Ramesh Wrong equivalence: there wasn't any democracy when Bhagat Singh was active. In democracy you vote out your government in the election not overthrow by 'revolution'!

True to his character the PM falsified history yet again today. He claimed that Majrooh Sultanpuri was jailed in 1949 for attacking Nehru. Majrooh Saab was in fact imprisoned with many other Communists that year as the CPI had announced a revolution against the Indian Government.

@Jairam_Ramesh Against India Government right? And who was heading the government in 1949, not the British I guess because we got Independence in 1947. And who was the first PM of independent India? Nehru. It was his government. A protest against his government was infact against him.

@deepak_shukla13 @Jairam_Ramesh Protest is different from a revolution intending to overthrow an elected government in a democracy - lack of such education is what's hurting the country!

@iamnnk @Jairam_Ramesh Ok, thanks for differentiating. So a revolution means when an oppressed class who can no longer tolerate the suppressor and their policies revolts, brining in revolution. Basically they want to bring down a Tyrant. Bhagat Singh and Mangal Pandey were revolutionaries

@iamnnk @Jairam_Ramesh They wanted to bring down the corrupt British government by any means. So if that is Revolution than Sahir Saab and others who were trying to bring in revolution must have thought the Government policies were wrong. And the government tried to suppress them by force
