Leaving the parks open without these essential staff is equivalent to leaving the Smithsonian museums open without any staff to protect the priceless artifacts.

@highcountrynews @outsidemagazine I understood the parks were closed, but people were "breaking in"

@highcountrynews Another impeachable offense. Add it to the list, if you can find room.

@highcountrynews @outsidemagazine It's not like National Parks have gates or doors. There is not any way to prevent people from going into them. Many of them have commuter roads running through them (like Valley Forge National Park which is a major commuter route across route 23 and route 252)

@highcountrynews @outsidemagazine Its a mistake only because some people don't respect or appreciate what the Parks are or mean. So sad but not surprising 😢

@highcountrynews AGREED!! It's naîve to put that much faith in people. Close the parks or open the government.

@highcountrynews Well, the funny thing about this is that Trump-Bernhardt Dept of Interior has proven they don't give a damn about anything other than energy yet their keeping open parks shows recognize that public prioritizes conservation over mining on public lands. See
