@DaveyHert
recently made a fantastic thread on how to land a job as a newbie without experience
Very effective!! However, most newbies struggled to craft the perfect DM to attract CEOs
Here are 100+ DM samples for different job roles to help you land your first job 🧵
Overview
I'm first going to give you a tutorial on how to write Cold DMs to CEOs and what to bear in mind
Then I'll share over 100 DM templates for different job roles that you can use for yourself
1. Backstory
Just like everyone else, I've been a newbie
My communication and writing skills sucked so much, that it's a miracle I even got my first job.
I made it my passion to become a writer and ever since then, I've grown a massive following and made thousands of dollars
2. Cold DM
A Cold DM is a direct message sent to someone who you have no prior relationship with or have never interacted with before.
Sending Cold Dms can be hard for newbies that are introverts
That's why am going to teach you the best way to write one and what to consider
3. What to consider
Bear in mind, you're not writing any ordinary DM
You're messaging a CEO who probably has hundreds of Dms from other candidates just like you
With that in mind, you have to STAND OUT!
4. Standing Out
To stand out in DMs, you have to:
- Use a professional tone — Avoid using slang and informal language
- Personalize your Dm — Tailor your Dm to the CEO's interests
- Keep it concise — Keep it brief and don't talk too much about your background and qualifications
5. Writing the DM
Keep it simple, your DM should contain at least four of the five main components:
- Who you are
- Your skills
- Goals
- The value you can bring
- a CTA
Make sure to use a good CTA so you don't get flat responses like "Nice Resume"
Take a look at this sample:
6. Avoid FLAT RESPONSES
Your CTA is as important as any other part of your DM
The CTA opens the path for further communication and determines if your agenda will progress to the next step
You may nail your Intro, but failure to nail your CTA will result in a flat response
