Whatever happens during the next 48 hours, I will put my constituents and country first. To get a grip on this situation quickly, we must be honest with the country about the economically sensible options available to us. Revoking Art50 may be such an option.

What are you doing about the postponement of the vote, Heidi? Is May getting away with more can kicking for absolutely no gain? She's losing trust and credibility by the bucket load now. Will MPs step up and say 'Enough!' instead of being complicit in running down the clock?
@heidiallen75
You voted for the referendum to be held. You voted to give the people the right to decide UK/EU policy. What makes you think that your personal preference to Remain in the EU entitles you to ignore the wishes and votes of the people you agreed to let make the decision?
@heidiallen75
@acgrayling
That would be good - but it would also be a first in these negotiations sadly. I have never been more disappointed in the Tory party than under Theresa May
@heidiallen75
Yes. Itโs a big big decision. In economy terms but also emotionally. Whichever way we go we as a nation need more time to adjust, thatโs what this hiatus is saying.
A second vote will help.
@heidiallen75
Olly Robbins is "renegotiating" in Brussels for the next 7 days.
Unless you can stop the business of the house from being changed, all that will happen will be some of those silly letter-writers will send a few more letters in.
@heidiallen75
Well said
@heidiallen75
there is no way out of this mess and no option with us leaving the EU that is available meets what was offered to voters in 2016. As the head of the WTO said on trade we relegate ourselves from Premier League to 4th Division, we become less secure
@heidiallen75
Good. Should of course be a fundamental requirement for all mps. I'm 65 I just can't believe the depths we've sunk to. No easy magic solution. I just hope there is a major political meltdown and eventually something better emerges. Scary.
