Pedestrian crossing signals are timed to the walking speeds of healthy adults. Many cannot cross the street that fast, which is why the law states you cannot enter the intersection until the ped has finished crossing in front of you. Both vehicles/drivers broke the law

@demianbulwa @jparkerwrites This is not how the law works and it's concerning that Cruise tried to tell you it is. You've got to wait for pedestrians to finish crossing when your light turns green; a green doesn't give you a license to kill.

@KeenanEdith No, it means everyone who earns less than $125,000 gets $10,000 loans forgiven. If you also got Pell grants in college (which people with non wealthy parents did) then you get $20,000 of loans forgiveness. It’s to reduce the inequity of inter generational wealth.

@mateosfo @Matthew4300 Not to mention his plastic catcher nets killed sea creatures. Fisherman used to have to pay to trash broken gear so ocean dumping was an issue. Switching to paying bounties on old nets and ropes instead of charging for disposal made a huge difference

We got a letter from a LA Toyota dealer that they would pay us the full retail price for our 2016 Prius V station wagon because they are so in demand in the used car market. Maybe Toyota shouldn't have discontinued them in North America?

Man, I didn’t fully get how many white people have *already* convinced themselves that red light/speed cams should be concentrated predominantly in Black communities. Then you look into it and, yup in each city where they have these cams that’s where they are located. By design.

I just drove my husband to LAX. The car battery died from disuse so we had to jump start it, brave LAX traffic w/ Century Blvd closure. Then I drove to Trader Joe's MB, didn't find a single parking spot, drove to TJ Torrance, where the lot was also jammed. People do this daily?
