Bluey ~ Layouts pt. 3 // Bumpy & The Wise Old Wolfhound I’m still proud of my Australian dad tier pun “Fairy Bread Godmother” on the window sill card B^)

I also learnt an unhealthy amount about the design motivations around Australian supermarkets during Shops. A lot of franchises have taken out the entrance gate that deters stealing and placed fresh bread and flowers there instead to create a better first impression upon entry.

So shoutout to the one supermarket interior designer watching who was probably super pissed off that we put in both. We needed it for acting purposes please forgive us! 🛒

Bluey ~ Colour Roughs pt.1 // The Creek // 🌱🍂🌱

My mum and I used to goof around and make “Andy Goldsworthy art’ (a land artist who works with natural materials) by putting leaves on rocks at creeks when we went travelling places. I wanted to bring some of those memories into this episode to make the spa shot really special 🍂

Bluey ~ Colour Roughs pt.2 // Kids // Kids was a really interesting challenge because we had to find a colour scheme for the supermarket that organised the busyness, worked with the characters, and didn’t create a cluster fuck of copyright issues :o)

I wanted it to slowly creep, then crescendo, to this sad, bleeding pink in the “Au Revoir” scene. I felt really strongly about using pink to symbolise this huge poignant moment. I wanted pink to be a sad colour!

Then have it crash out into really desaturated cloudy blues to show Bluey’s devastation. This ep is such a big special one, I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as the crew did.

Episode is Camping*, CAMPING! God damn I have baby brain today sorry folks

@goodsniff_ @blueymoments I'm American and never heard of Bluey until running into a twitter that posts very short clips and I got to say, it's one of the more mature -very little-kids shows I've seen. Not just story and character-but in art too. These are amazing and you should be very proud!
