And I did the servicing for a lot of autoists. I enjoyed it and paid for my first car with cash.

Sure. Attendant filled my gas tank, cleaned my windows, checked my oil, took a look at my tires. Full Service. Was kind of nice.

i remember as a teen having to get up and go pump some gas when that bell rang, and checking under the hood for oil and coolant levels, and washing windows.
