Hello viewers. I would like to emphasize Miguel was my favorite character from this movie and I think he's obviously intended to be a decent guy with some baggage - I just thought this was interesting to think about. Also yes - I forgot a wife was never mentioned for him!

This clarification is not necessy but I got awful visions of this being the "defining fandom view" of him and people vagueposting like "smh people mischaracterizing Miguel and calling him creepy when he's just a decent dad 🙄" and I felt my muscle start to fall off my bones

@gertritude it’s crazy bc imagine being the daughter in that scenario. ur dad comes home from work one day and you know something’s off about him but u can’t quite place it so ur raised by a version of ur dad who feels slightly alien 2 u

@gertritude One thing that intrigues me is maybe the reason Miquel’s Spider-Man in the first place (his Uncle Ben moment) was the death of his wife so once he found that universe where he had a family and died it was living what he couldn’t And maybe the universe collapsed because-

@gertritude To be fair, we know Miguel is kind of a creep cuz he has screens that show him events as they happen so there’s a very good chance that he memorized everything about Other Miguel’s life

@gayswordfight yeah, other people pointed it out and upon reviewing the scene he doesn't seem to? I didn't remember that when writing the tweet but it makes sense - I don't think his replacement is meant to really be a "bad" thing in the movie, and it's better if he's just taking care of a kid
