Luka Jovic remains the only player I have seen in recent years that reminds me so completely of Marco Van Basten. In terms of movement and pure finishing ability the two are very similar. Someone is going to get a bargain, despite the price.

I find the narrative that Jadon Sancho will leave Dortmund in the summer for a 'bigger club' somewhat surprising. I think he's well aware that his development can be better served staying in Germany for one more full year. Don't underestimate his relationship with Marco Reus.

So far this season we have seen RB Salzburg move away from the diamond with new coach Jesse Marsch using a 4-4-2 and a 3-5-2. What we haven't seen is a let up in their pressing. So far this season they are allowing their opponents just 5.21 passes per defensive action. Elite.

There are still too many people within football who seem to believe we should only rely on stats when scouting or that we should only rely on the 'eye test'. The truth is that we should use both together. Stats can help to identify players but you need the full picture.

Jorginho was incredibly important for Chelsea today. Not only for his work on the ball but off it. Constantly instructed teammates where to play the ball in the build up phase. His knowledge of the system Sarri wants to play will vastly speed up the learning process for Chelsea

All young players should watch that Pogba goal. Technique and confidence to strike the ball with both feet. Second strike on his 'weaker' left side. He still had full control. Shows the importance of using both feet in the development phase.
