This is bananas. If you believe that capitalism works & you want to fix the housing supply problem: open our borders
Not just for PHDs etc. For the tired & for the poor
@flynn_bob
Not going to lie, but the type of people for this job are Mexicans. If we can put roofing in a few hours im sure we can finish this in a few weeks.Holla at us...
@flynn_bob
The other thing is people are using construction labor to build houses as big as apartment complexes rather than building apartment complexes.
@flynn_bob
Sorry but this pic alone doesn't prove your specific point...I live in a new dev being built in FL...I've seen this before.... in today's world, it could be many different reasons why no one is there at this specific time...

He’s consulted hundreds of home builders for many many years around the country
So I trust the source

Interesting to see. Seems opposite of here in Florida. Was at a large development on Saturday and we could not get thru the streets due to so many work trucks. Probably saw 200-300 laborers busting their ass on a weekend

The government could always stop paying people to not work too. It isn't as though all the working age males suddenly vanished in the US over the past year

@MrkiPrki
Or maybe instead have home developers pay a wage that recognizes supply and demand factors capitalism has always required. More importantly, importing ‘cheap labor’ merely creates an underclass of society that ultimately burdens communities.
@flynn_bob
it’s not even just about people from a specific area.
People are surprised that a plumber can make $1000 a day in Los Angeles area. The system that promotes service workers is not marketed well either. The jobs are looked down upon and the process is filled with restrictions.
