That one episode where Shippo uses his magical fire to protect them all from the building on fire while Inuyasha defeats the enemy but they still almost die because they were poisoned hits hard ;-;

plus in the manga they never fight over food, Shippo’s always eating Inuyasha’s portion and Inuyasha sometimes lets him sit on his lap for mealtime
