protest against racist police violence in April 2015. NYPD cops were especially brutal to protesters that day & a plainclothes cop even pulled a gun on protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge. Mayor Bill de Blasio later condemned the protesters.

NYPD claimed that their Internal Affairs Bureau would investigate what happened to Elsa Eli Waithe. As far as I know, nothing ever came of that investigation.
