No sir, not just south india. Entire india swears by its variety of most delicious food. Idlis probably only originated from south india but made in almost every part of the country& is me, u probably did not have it d right curry or chatni.

See taste-buds might fail sometimes to judge the real taste or authenticity of some great food and that makes it very important for one to know the right way of enjoying it, before trying or judging it. Not only in South-India but idlis are cherished all over India.
