this pride month can we make a conscious effort as members of the queer community to not talk about ace discourse or neopronouns or whatever shit that Does Not Matter and address actually meaningfully negative things like the community's rampant racism and sexism problems instead

people are seriously hurt constantly by queer racism unlike whatever bullshit is talked about 99% of the time on here. it takes very little effort to shut the fuck up about being "a little sus of he/him lesbians" or whatever and highlight racism and address it when it happens

trans people, especially POC, are being hurt and targeted with harmful legislation at unprecedented rates and you want to talk about how kink at pride makes you feel? fuck off with that. instead of commenting on discourse why don't you retweet someone's gofundme. or log off

to be clear: i used ace discourse as a (poorly-worded) example and i dont mean ace people should shut up, i was referring to ppl who attack/exclude ace ppl. my bad for that and i want to be more clear

@echo_aster @jugnkoobnuy I get what you’re saying but conversations about ace ppl and ppl that use neopronouns are also important since a lot of ppl outside of the community don’t know what they are or have misconceptions about them. I think we need to actively talk about all of these things
