if you hate your body and appearance and think that taking an interest in clothes is "gay," and your goal is to not stand out, so you end up wearing bland uniforms out of fear of being mocked, then, of course, you're going to look bad.
kinda bums me out how often i get this sort of comment. it's simply not true that larger guys can't look stylish. dressing well is not only for certain body types. it's for everyone, so long as u take an interest. will do a longer article at some point on dressing larger figures
@JoeMecksavanh
i think if we accept that the average person on the street is not very well dressed, then dressing well will mean standing out to some degree.
@dieworkwear
I absolutely dress as neutrally as possible, I aspire to the Switzerland of wardrobes, but I try to make sure that anyone who DOES notice my clothes/appearance will have a relatively nice time doing so

Hey
@dieworkwear
, care to make a thread on terrible „italian” customer service? Been digging through SF threads on ViolaMilano, had v.negative experience with passagio, but people are generally unaware/blineded by their social media presence…
@dieworkwear
There are also probably a good chunk of people who have never had anyone to learn from when it comes to dressing and so they mock those who dress well from a place of insecurity and lack of knowledge
@dieworkwear
On this point, if you’re self confidence is so lacking that you’re afraid of doing things to improve your appearance out of fear of looking gay, you don’t have much of a chance with most most respectable women anyways
@dieworkwear
I really believe those fears are what drive most men to dressing like shit. Well, that, and Daniel Craig's James Bond, but mostly those fears.
