“Do you have a fucking problem?” He hisses when the heat becomes too much and he can’t stand it any longer.
Natsuo glares at him even harder, as if it was even possible. “You’re trying to defile my little brother.”

They’re both whispering so Shouto, who’s in the kitchen, can’t hear. “That’s my fucking problem.”
Katsuki smirks, crossing his arms and leaning back confidently. The chair wobbles and his heart drops, but it stabilizes and Katsuki hurriedly tries to act like it didn’t happen.

“What, you think I’m not good enough for the princess?” He asks, baring his teeth.
Natsuo grinds his own teeth and it’s so loud that Katsuki can hear it across the table. “Yes,” he grits. “Shouto needs someone kind and caring. Not-”
“Not me?” Katsuki glares.

Shouto walks out before Natsuo can respond, two glasses carefully balanced in his hands. “Here, Natsu-nii,” he sets one down in front of his brother and one in front of Katsuki.

“Sorry, I think it’s a little warm now,” he frowns before wrapping his hand around the glass and cooling it down with his quirk.
Katsuki falls in love just a little bit more and takes a sip of the perfectly chilled beverage.
It tastes sweeter and better than usual.

“Do you want to head out soon?” Shouto smiles and the sight melts Katsuki’s cold dead heart.
“Sure, sweetheart,” he downs the rest of his drink and stands up, holding out a hand.
Behind them, Natsuo makes a disgusted face.
“Make sure he’s back here by nine, you hear me?”

He scowls, and then turns to Shouto, the harsh look melting off his face like butter. “Shou, if he forces you into anything or makes you uncomfortable, kick him hard in the nuts and then blast his face, alright?”
Shouto rolls his eyes, reaching for Katsuki’s hand.

“I’ll be fine, Natsu-nii. Katsuki is a sweetheart. He won’t hurt me.”
Natsuo scowls at Katsuki, who scowls back. “Nine. You hear me? Any fucking later and I’ll beat your ass.”
“For fucks sake, he’ll be back nice and tight at 8:59 sharp on your fucking doorstep, alright?”

Katsuki growls, glaring at his shoes. “And I’ll wine and dine him and treat him like the princess he is. Is that good enough? Can we fucking go now?”
Natsuo pauses and then squints suspiciously, evidently not expecting the easy acquisition. “I’m keeping an eye on you, Bakugou.”

“Keep as many eyes on me as you want,” Katsuki replies. “I’d rather kill myself than hurt Shouto.”
The mistrust on Natsuo’s face clears up a little bit after that, something that’s almost like a small smile tugging on his lips.

“I just want Shouto safe and happy,” he says, “And if you promise to do that then we won’t have any problems.”
“I fucking pinky promise or whatever,” Katsuki squeezes Shouto’s hand. “Now can we go? We’re gonna be late.”
“It’s still back by nine, understand?”

“I think he gets it, Natsu-nii,” Shouto interrupts, tugging Katsuki out of the house. “We’ll see you later.”
Later, when a few hours have passed, Katsuki sends Natsuo a message. It’s a picture of Shouto, red cheeked and laughing openly while a cat licks a treat from his palm.

Natsuo stares at it, unable to remember anytime Shouto had ever laughed like this before.
Maybe Katsuki wasn’t so bad after all.
