Exactly…to what end is testing? Message now should be simple…if you have symptoms stay home until they go away. Then go back to work & life. End testing mandates & individual testing obsession.

Why would I want to know if I have covid? Wouldn't I assume I have it anyway if I have the symptoms? It's not like my doctor is going to give me any medicine or treatment to help me. My NJ liberal leaning doctor already told me he has nothing to offer me. So why a covid test?

Are you serious? There are specific Covid treatments. Testing gets you access to those.

So glad you brought this up…I can say from first hand experience that no, it doesn’t. Monoclonal antibody treatments are in short supply and only provided to severely at-risk folks. Anti-virals not yet widely available. Told by hospital staff…”stay home, rest, drink fluids.”

Do you just ignore asymptomatic cases and spread? Not sure how your suggestions helps with that in any way, which results in continuing strains on many systems (including health care). After nearly 2 years how do you continue to ignore the concept of asymptomatic spread?
