circuit and what it’s become. Absolutely no way I see myself playing much on it this year. I love a couple of the places, and might go for part of those. But to travel and grind and think you’d make money on it, is definitely a lost cause imo.

Having everything be a reentry for so many levels, then pay out 15% in small buyin tourneys is just a heist without a ski mask. The only people that can make money are those running the tourney. And for those of you that think dealers are getting rich, think again!

The dealers pay for their travel, lodging, and most places even their food at work. Add to that the down rates being shit because of the inflated starting stacks that some players thought they needed, and the dealers are simply getting overworked and underpaid.

Speaking of these starting stacks, let’s talk about the impact it has on most final tables. We’ve all noticed how much more shallow the stacks became when the money really mattered since this introduction. Can this be fixed somehow

I know that the recreational players don’t think enough about it to realize how bad this is for their bottom line either, but it effects people negatively from top to bottom. You simply can’t travel to a stop anymore and beat the rake.

It’s really bad I without a doubt won’t be going anywhere early for prelims I’d rather get drunk or play slots than mess with 15pct payouts.... and totally agree late reg open too long just so they can collect more and more entries sad...

I figured this out and quit doing the wsop circus/circuits about a year and a half ago. When they made every thing reentry it was the beginning of the end. I will only do a few that are super convenient

It’s a business. If 15% payouts are better for business... then they should stay with that route. If larger starting stacks and shallow FT stacks are good for business, they should do that as well. If these changes hurt the numbers, then they should go back to 10% payouts.

I used to look really forward to playing wsop events....but even I noticed this stuff with the rake, and now the starting stacks/structures. I’m even thinking about next summmer, just going to Vegas for every other casino series. Circuit stops, I only do local cuz not worth it
