in all honesty, she looks more upset that Vaemond fvcked this up & couldn’t hold his tongue 🤷♀️ bc she knows Viserys won’t take kindly to insults thrown at his daughter or grandsons.
at least that’s how i interpreted it the first time i saw this scene
now the scene mentioned on the interview: where does alicent tried to reach out for rhaenyra? where does she look protective? she’s having the same reaction as everyone, and when rhaenyra is called a whore she’s not even looking at her, she looks at viserys to see his reaction.
