It's not canon to the mcu. It's canon to the multiverse. The MCU is only one universe in the larger Marvel multiverse. These movies did not take place in the MCU

you realize the word canon means those events took place in that world. so as far as the MCU is concerned raimis movies and andrews movies took place inside the MCUs world.

That would literally mean they DIDN'T. They took place in ANOTHER UNIVERSE and then those characters TRAVELED TO THIS ONE

Say your born in Boston and you moved to New York. You can't say you were born in New Yorl just because you're there now. Those events didn't happen there. The events of those movies didn't happen in the MCU, the happened in their own contained universe

How is that obvious? That's how canon works. The events of those movies aren't canon to the MCU. The characters are, but they're stories took place in an entirely different world. It's the same as traveling for one place to another
