I just upgraded my 3D printer with an Ender 3 S1 Pro. All I can say is WOW! It was unboxed, set up and printing in 30 minutes. I'm actually excited about 3D printing again! My old printer was such a pain, which made me reluctant to use it.

@leesmithswrkshp I had an old CR-10 first gen and the improvements here are drastic. Definitely worthwhile for me to buy this versus trying to upgrade the old one. More time for videos!

@craig1black I'm the same way. I have 2 printers collecting dust. Main pain for me is leveling them all the time.

@Trailmyx Yeah this one has the auto levelling which is what I had been waiting for! Totally love it.

@craig1black I plan on buying a 3D printer in the next 6 months. It will be my first foray into 3D printing. Would you recommend this model or something else?

@TheCyberML I watched a review of it before I bought, and was instantly sold. It's an awesome printer and I'm sure happy with it. The printer is like their lower models with all the cool upgrades and mods already done.

@craig1black I'd love to hear your experience with it. I've got a couple printrbots and they are as much art as science to use effectively.

@luke_duckbill This was just kind of plug and play. Set the z-offset. Then auto level. Fred in my old PLA and hit print. It just worked so far for me. Will finally upgrade to PETG filament :-)

@craig1black Out of curiosity, what was your old printer that was such a pain?

@PrimalBits It was a first gen Creality CR-10. It never broke down but was always just a pain to get it levelled and getting prints to stick. Plus a Bowden extruder sucks.

@craig1black I've seen so many problems with enders that they scare me. My prusa works pretty well.

@craig1black That reminds me, I still need to print replacement clips for my Power Macintosh. Broke all of them taking off the cover

@LonesomeBard I'm totally amazed by it. Especially as the motor control results in basically silent operation. I just hear the extruder fan from across the room.

@craig1black That’s the same printer I just got. I’ve had pretty good luck with it so far!

@craig1black The Ender 3 is a good work horse of a printer. I have a basic one that has hundreds of hours of print time on it. It keeps on tickin.

@craig1black Now all you need is a little 3d scanner and you can make all sorts of missing panels & knobs.

@craig1black Great printer dude, I have an E3 Pro from 2018 that is so modded it's unrecognizable. Dual z steppers, direct drive all metal, glass bed, silent steppers, Octoprint on a Pi3b+...
