I sometimes get comments that I use very expensive tools to fix things. I took that to heart and made a video showing me diagnosing and fixing a C64 with only inexpensive and easy to find tools: I was surprised how well it went!

I remember this video you did well. I ordered it and some other stuff that had been in my basket for a while that day and received it all about a week later in time for my Birthday.
@craig1black
For a long time I used nothing but a logic probe to diagnose faulty PCBs. You don't need fancy stuff but over the years you build up a collection of decent gear
@craig1black
whilst you use expensive tools, you get the principles across really well so those of us with less skill can still 'follow along' with more basic kit. About a year ago, your videos are part of what made me get a c64 and the handtec uab scope. no regrets!
@craig1black
Yeah, I did make a comment a couple of weeks ago, didn't mean to be a downer but that chip/memory tester is super handy when you have it but a really expensive tool and not for casual hobbyist fixing. I appreciate everything you teach and show us!
@craig1black
Cool idea, I know when I was just starting to learn and needed help with repairs, it was a bit disheartening when the person would pull out a really cool tool that made the job look easy but which I didn't have
