Like the Tamils in Mullivaikkal, the people of Gaza are imprisoned in a tiny area of land, facing daily bombing and atrocities. As in the case of Rafah, Sri Lanka designated an area, where people were told to flee to avoid the bombing. Once assembled the Tamils were massacred.

As many as 70,000 Tamil civilians were killed in the Mullivaikkal massacre over a few months according to the United Nations, but the International Truth and Justice Project’s analysis of census records suggest the murder toll was almost 150,000

Since the end of British rule in 1948, Tamil people have continuously and intentionally faced genocidal onslaughts and have been targeted for annihilation for over seven decades. Even today, the Sri Lankan government continues to evade accountability. There has been no justice.
