CHELSEA REWIND: On this day in 2005, Jose Mourinho and his players leave the Ewood Park pitch after a hard fought 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers. A victory that had many thinking Chelsea would go on & win the title. A team full of quality, leaders & elite mentality. 👏

Jiri Jarosik. Kezman. Thiago. Wayne Bridge.
None of these were great men, strong leaders or anything special.
They were led by a special man. A winner. Someone they could look up to and follow into battle.
We saw in 2016 what Poch did in these situations. Bottled it.

That was a special night.
Unusually, I drove up that night.
Always said we won the league that night.
Moekena or however you say it, smashed into Robben's ankle.
Cech saves a penalty, and Dikov ploughs into him on the following up, JT was furious and tore him a new one.
Leader!
@chriswrightzz
You reminded me those years we paraded loyalty genuine nd capable players dos who played for pride they hate 2 lose they are truly playing 4 d badge not this days dt we hv unreliable handicap nd immature players playing just 4 d money. Winning is nt in their gene those lazy folks
@chriswrightzz
Jose made all the players throw their shirts into the crowd. JT was keeping every shirt from this season because he saw that something was happening. He had to buy it back from that fan at a fairly hefty price.

One of my favourite games, proper Chels. Amazing when you look back and remember that Bridge/Jarosik/Tiago/Kezman were part of that - most of our current players have more skill, but that team had heart, and more importantly, fight. Jose had them running through brick walls. 🧱🏃♀️
@chriswrightzz
I knew we had the title in the bag after this match . We were nearly but not quite over the line but when they all came over to the crowd at the end you just knew we weren’t going to be throwing it away from this . They were totally galvanised. Elite mentality.
@chriswrightzz
You didn’t have to write/say anything, we can all just look at the picture.
What people nowadays like to call ”Aura”.
Many players/managers have this ”aura” nonsense, but none of them have the cojones in them when it really matters
