I feel that the negativity and attacks by FF & FG and friends in old media are more about getting their members to support FF FG deal. Whipping many members into a frenzy and the FF/FG deal becomes a case for "saving the country from awful SF!!"

That’s exactly what they are doing. They need forgiveness from their own base for what they’re about to do. It’s sad to see the extent to which they’re being facilitated. Sadder again to see how fast and loose they’re willing to play with something as important as the GFA.

Bang on Chris, and its working. Cashel Fianna Fail Facebook page this morning has 5 anti SF stories put up since 8am.. manipulated by their own leadership, and dont even see it happening

Nail on head there Chris. This FF/FG coalition has been planned since election night or even before long before. The media smears are just to soften up the voters to accept this. Hope the Greens etc gave the sense to stay out.
