The plywood layers are glued together with adhesive that often contains formaldehyde. I burn mine but don’t breathe the smoke.

How are you going to do that, exactly? Not breathe the smoke? Do you wear an oxygen mask? Because otherwise you're releasing that into the air for yourself and everyone else.
