Palestinian physicist Sufyan Tayeh was killed by an Israeli attack in Gaza. He was president of the Islamic University of Gaza, held a UNESCO chair, was ranked in the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University. With him, many others equally important human beings.

There is not a single reference of Sufyan Tayeh as a scientist on Internet. It seems his scientific credentials have been greatly exaggerated.

We physicists instead need to look at the huge plank in our own eyes. We have polluted science with far Left identity politics; eroded meritocracy; and disregarded freedom of speech and inquiry.
