for your next speech regarding border security/immigration may I suggest that instead of a speech, you simply make a statement of your goals then read these quotes & credit them to the democrats who said them. I'm sure your staff could find quite a few more.

It would be helpful if you provided the dates of these quotes. Obviously, the 1996 Democratic platform was nearly a quarter-century ago.

The funny thing being that the reps had similar statements on their platform then and a secure nation is STILL part of their platform today.
Obama's speech was far more recent than the 1996 platform, dems were misleading the public even then saying one thing & doing another.

I could call them invaders if that makes you feel more comfortable but it doesn't change the fact that they are illegally present in the host country failing to notify or register to be present in said country in violation of our borders and laws.
