There were many telling instances with Virgil but the one for me was when this young Black designer, Wole Olosunde, shared how excited he was to meet Virgil + show him a glasses design he completed That young man’s glasses were ripped off in the Off-White SS19 Collection smh👇🏽

Today in 1970 Cheryl Adrienne Browne was crowned Miss Iowa— Which meant she would be the 1st Black woman to compete in the Miss America pageant👑 Miss America had recently changed pageant rule #7 which up until then stated: “contestants must be of good health + of the white race”

Saw tweet asking why Black consumers still supporting lulu lemon after the founder made it clear he isn’t interested in a Black consumer base — I think there’s actually deeper consumer behavior + psychology that needs unpacking there. Same for Sk*ms + Good American.

One thing about Chadwick, he stayed in Givenchy + Versace — Loved how Ashley West worked alongside him to have custom suiting made for the Black Panther press tour. Seeing really traditional heritage houses incorporated nods to African textiles + prints just for him was so cool
