Claiming that international fans don’t care about Chelsea the same way, is just absurd. Consider all the American media and music you listen to. Does that make you any less of a fan because you appreciate their art from another area of the world? It’s just a weak argument.
It’s elitism, trying to put certain fans “in their place” because they support a team from abroad. I’ve loved this squad through Roman’s reign, the highs and lows. I schedule my plans around our matches. I traveled 3,878 miles to get to Stamford Bridge.
I spent hundreds of dollars to see Chelsea in preseason back in 2014. My family now supports this club. I love Chelsea, I want to see her be the best, a return to the top…but, I’m from America. So, I just don’t understand & couldn’t possibly love the club. Get a grip.

Some people on here are just insecure. I always laugh at people saying that like they’re on some kind of moral high ground. Chelsea being a world-wide team is one of the main reasons for the club’s success. Support is not decided by postcode. 💙

Nobody I know has a problem with people following Chelsea wherever they’re from, and certainly haven’t
However, what I can’t stand are those with a seemingly anti-English bias and those who can’t seem to go a day without slagging off some of the Chelsea players
@onlyapound
I can understand that too. Earlier I was referring to people who favor/protect English players over others. Make excuses for poor performances, allow the standards to be lowered in giving them preferential treatment.

The majority of International Chelsea fans love the club more than the majority of local Chelsea fans, the Stamford bridge atmosphere which is very awful says it all.

And, a funny argument as well. There are people in the UK who support Chelsea who, i'm sure, have never been to games. Does that also make them any less of a fan? One might ask.
