the worst thing that could happen now is that he can't get another job and has no choice but to return so he half asses it for another year

100%. And I don’t have any animosity towards him for not wanting to be a legacy coach here, but the way this is going down, it’s clear he is ready to move on and it’s possible his heart wasn’t really in it this past season. So, ya, this is the end. It’s just a matter of how long
